Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Welcome to My Control, operated by VASP Foundation ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This privacy policy describes how we collect, use, and share your personal information when you use our mobile application.

2. Core Principle: Local Processing

Our privacy philosophy is simple: What happens on your device stays on your device. Most features in My Control (including Contacts Export, PDF Management, QR Scanning, and Duplicate Finder) process data locally. We do not upload your personal files, contacts, or scanned documents to our servers.

3. Data Collection & Permissions

To provide our suite of tools, the App requires certain system permissions. Here is how we use them:

  • Location:
Used by the GPS Camera to overlay coordinates and addresses onto your photos. This data is only used during the photo capture process and is not transmitted to us.
  • Camera:
Required for GPS Camera, Paper Scan, and QR Manager features to capture images and scan codes. Camera access is strictly limited to the duration of the feature use.
  • Contacts:
Accessed only when you initiate the Contacts Export tool. Your contacts are read to create a backup file which remains on your device.
  • Storage:
Used to save your generated PDFs, scanned documents, and backups. It is also used by the Duplicate Finder to analyze and manage your storage locally.
  • Usage Stats:
Used by Network Guard to monitor which applications are using data. This analysis is conducted entirely on-device without remote tracking.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services which may collect information used to identify you:

  • Google Play Services
  • Google Analytics for Firebase
  • AdMob (for displaying relevant advertisements)

Note: The Vedic Calendar feature may optionally fetch astronomical data from external APIs if internet is available, but no personal identity data is shared with these providers.

5. Children's Privacy

Our services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers.

6. Security

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable.
